Terms & Conditions
1: Trip Confirmation
Pre-arrangements and pre-bookings are made for all dates and trips mentioned in the web-site but nothing is confirmed until the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities sends to the Client a confirmation (via email) of the specific trip and date.
To secure a booking the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities requires from the Client the booking form completed and deposit payment for the trip or activity cost. (see PAYMENT)
The booking of a particular departure is secured, only upon receipt of the above document along with the confirmation from our bank that the due amount has been transferred or with the signed credit card charge authorization. After the receipt of the requested documents, our operation will send you a confirmation email.
By sending to Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities the booking form, the Client has read and has agreed with all the terms and conditions listed in this agreement under the headline: Booking conditions.
2: Cancellation Fees
Should the Client wish to cancel for any reason, cancellation fees will be imposed. These are calculated as a percentage from the day that the booking form is received by the Company.
Cancellation within 30 days before the tour: the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities will refund the whole paid amount,
Cancellation 29-15 days before the tour: the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities reserves 20% of the paid amount to cover administration expenses and cancellation fees of the hoteliers or other main service providers.
Cancellation 15-7 days before the tour: the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities reserves 30% of the paid amount
Cancellation 7-0 days before the tour: the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities reserves 50% the whole paid amount.
In the case of no show of a Client in a tour the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities reserves the right to keep the whole paid amount.
In case of bad weather making it impossible to operate the activity, our common practice is as follows:
1. We recommend an alternative day, if you can’t participate another day 2. We recommend another activity, if you don’t want to do something else 3. We refund the full amount, as long as this is mutually agreed upon at latest the night before the scheduled activity day by 20.00pm.
3: During the trip
Participants are required to advise the provider, in advance, of any physical, medical or other special needs that require accommodating.
The Client agrees to accept the authority and decisions of Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities employees, tour leaders and agents or Third Party Suppliers, whilst on the trip(s) with Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities. If in the opinion of such persons the health or action of a participant at any time before or after departure appears likely to endanger the safe, comfortable or smooth progress of a trip/ program, the participant may be excluded from all or part of the trip/ program without refund or compensation. In case of health/medical problem, the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities may make such arrangements, as it seems fit and recover the costs thereof from the participant.
If a participant commits an illegal act, the participant may be excluded from the trip/ program and Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities shall cease to have responsibility to/ for them.
THE BOOKING CONTRACT
Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when a written confirmation is issued and after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities or authorized agent immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport.
Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities IS NOT LIABLE FOR THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS
Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities makes arrangements with accommodation providers, activity providers, cruise lines, coach companies, transfer operators, shore excursion operators, tour and local guides, and other independent parties (“Third Party Suppliers”) to provide you with some or all of the components of your booking. Third Party Suppliers may also engage the services of local operators and sub-contractors. Although Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities takes all reasonable care in selecting Third Party Suppliers, Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities is unable to control Third Party Suppliers, does not supervise Third Party Suppliers and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. Any services provided by Third Party Suppliers are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by these Third Party Suppliers and their liability is limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage, tickets, and vouchers and international conventions and agreements that govern the provision of their services. These may limit or exclude the liability of the Third Party Supplier. You acknowledge that Third Party Suppliers operate in compliance with the applicable laws of the countries in which they operate and the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities does not warrant that any Third Party Supplier is in compliance with the laws of your country of residence or any other jurisdiction.
The itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the tour leader, for safety reasons. The tour leader may suggest alternative itinerary or and activities for those given in the program for the group or individuals to choose.
Where ferry timetables are applicable, the schedule may change due to the weather conditions and/or to last minute changes from the ferry company.
4: Alterations to the program by the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities
In the interest of our Clients, Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities reserves the right to make a change or cancel the trip, due to weather conditions, safety reasons, low physical level, low participation (if a minimum participation level is required for a program to run) or any other factor beyond our control -force majeure (natural disasters, inclement weather, strikes etc). Such changes will always be at the discretion of the company’s group leader and the Company.
The Client will pay for additional costs required on the spot to create the alternative trip.
5: Alterations by the Client – participants
Any sudden or not justified change (date, destination, number of participants, etc), is regarded as a cancellation and complies with the conditions of paragraph 2.
6: Extra expenses
All extra expenses have to be paid on the spot by the Client. These are expenses requested by the Client during/after the program that had not been originally requested (such as side excursions, extra transfers, extra nights etc).
7: Last minute bookings
In case the Client has a request for a last minute booking, Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities will advise availability and ask the Client to pay for the additional participant-s expenses before the beginning of the tour on a separate invoice, in case previous invoice for the trip has already been paid.
8: Complaints – Refund Policy
In case a participant requires a refund after the end of the tour, he/ she has to state his/her demand in written, at the latest 10 working days after the end of the tour.
Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities will review the request and revert within 10 working days, after carefully examining the demands and facts of the tour.
Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities will not provide any refund to the Client unless the above procedure has been followed.
No refund will be given for any unused services.
9: Responsibilities – Disclaimer:
The excursions and activities (mainly outdoor) operated by the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities are suitable for most of the general public. Participants need a basic level of fitness (unless the program states another level of fitness), team – work mentality and the ability to follow instructions. However despite all our efforts to keep a high standard of safety, there is always an element of risk of personal injury or even death, given the nature of outdoor activities and the Client by selling the tour acknowledges and accepts this risk.
The responsibility of the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities is limited to ensure that all the necessary equipment and experienced guides are provided for the tour and that the safest routes are the chosen ones.
We recommend the Client to inform all participants before joining a program to get covered by a personal accident insurance, which has to include adequate coverage for medical expenses and cost of repatriation, including helicopter rescue and air ambulance.
10: Dispute resolution
Expressly agreed that any dispute arising under this contract will be settled by the parties amicably and in accordance with good faith and practices. If this is not possible, exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute between parties have the court of Athens – Greece.
11: Alterations and cancellation of the Private Agreement
This Private Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior written or oral communication. No modification is binding unless stated in writing and signed by both parties (or confirmed via e-mail or fax exchange).

• 30% deposit is required upon confirmation of a tour o Balance pre-payment the latest 15 days
The balance of all moneys due, including any surcharges, must be paid to Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities not later than 30 days before departure. In the case of non-payment of the balance by the due date the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities may treat the booking as cancelled by the client. Moneys paid acting on behalf of the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities for tours operated by the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities are held for the client until the client receives written confirmation of the acceptance of a booking. Thereafter, these and any other moneys are held by the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities.
PASSPORTS, VISAS AND VACCINATIONS
Clients are responsible for arranging, and must be in possession of, a valid passport and any visas and vaccination certificates required for the whole of their journey. Information about these matters or related items (climate, clothing, baggage, personal gear etc) is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of the Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities.
Clients are responsible for effecting sufficient personal travel insurance. Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients whilst on a tour organized by Trekking Andros & Outdoor Activities. Clients together with their personal property including baggage are at all times solely at their own risk. Clients are wholly responsible for arranging their own insurance and ensuring that they are in possession of private Travel Insurance with protection for the full duration of the tour/activity in respect of at least medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, with adequate benefits. Clients making their own arrangements should ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for the type of activities included in their tour.
